Body Prayers
Movement Meditation Classes and Performances

current events:

Body Prayer's mission is the reverent "embodiment" of Earth centered poems and prayers. We are available to perform at gatherings and rituals. We welcome new members to join us in our creative improvisational process of creating new dances.

We use sacred texts from all of  the world's religions as our inspiration for movement.  Our signature piece, the Earth Dance is the feminine version of the Lord's Prayer.  Originally called the Lady's Prayer:

Our Mother, which art the Earth, nurturing are thy ways,
Thy web of Life be woven, thy way be found within, as it is all around.  Thank you this day, for our bread and sweat and forgive us our misuse of you, as we forgive others their misuse of us.
(for copies of the entire prayer, please order Art cards at 2/$4 by contacting info@indigaArt.com)

On April 15-17, 2005  we choreographed  some pieces with a water theme which were performed at the Bridging the Water Gap Conference  at the Eisenhower Community Center, Hopkins, MN.  Presented by AquaEssence ReSource and A SINGLE DROP

From the flyer:   In celebration of the United Nations’ Decade for Action: "Water For Life" (2005-2015), "Bridging the Water Gap" will join ecologists, writers, musicians, artists, r researchers, quantum physicists, philosophers and educators to discuss the many issues surrounding the state of water on our planet.

This gathering is a celebration of our collective efforts to expand public awareness. The speakers will create the potential energy.

The water presentations, films, ceremonies, art and music will initiate the kinetic wave that connects and unifies us.
