Laura
came to the practice of fitness yoga through a community class at the local
church, led by a Yogafit instructor, and
became very enthusiastic about learning to teach it. That led her on a path to
the Yogafit training program and becoming a certified teacher.
Teaching yoga is one of the most rewarding activities she has ever engaged in.
Not only has it helped her to sustain a healthy body, mind and
spirit, but more importantly, has given her the opportunity to
help others gain a sense of physical and mental well-being in their lives
through the practice of the asanas and breathwork.
Laura’s teaching goals follow:

To
motivate and encourage students to achieve their own highest level of success
from week to week, while providing a positive learning environment.
·
To
teach yoga poses and flows in the safest and most effective manner, while
offering modifications for different body types
and abilities.
·
To
reduce stress and balance mind and body through the practice of deep breathing
and relaxation techniques.
·
To
encourage laughter, enjoyment and openness , as well as serious practice during
her classes.
·
And
most importantly, for every student
to leave feeling refreshed,
energized, and centered in body, mind and spirit!
